Conclusion:

Americans, compelled by their sense of responsibility for the rights of Jews to leave the Soviet Union and to live as Jews, engaged in a decades long struggle which, in the end, succeeded in securing Jews the right of emigration from the Soviet Union and later Russia. As a product of their efforts, countless people have been and will be able to lead freer and better lives.
